I have been with spirit,
in spirit,
somewhere away from this world
for a long time.
I enter body.
I enter the flesh of the world…

(ii)
I breathe.
I enter body.
I go down.
I down.
I ground.
I breathe.
I enter ancestral blood,
ancestral semen.
I am flesh
handed down,
handing itself down.
I am reborn of burial grounds
of people who prepared the world
for me.
I am becoming.
I am flesh of my people.

(iii)
I feel you
deep in your breathing
next to me….
As flowers give seeds.
we are the tip of the flow,
we are the forward-dying moment-
endless flowerfields,
endless seedfields,
endless flowerfields
are we.

(iv)
I breathe. I remember
my body.
I re-enter.
I enter beloved embeddedness.
I relax down. I enter the ground.
Every cell of me fed
on food fattened
on sunheat and rainwater and soil.

Where do I choose to end?
The air circulating around me
swirls within me,
I tire with the night,
I rise with the sun.
I am a walking plant.
(I love to lie in the grass.)

(v)
My brain is packed with ideas
my memory layered
with stories
my mind arrayed
with images
of the outside.
Deep felt concepts
like embeddedness,
now in this time
the human collective,
floats through me.

Holism,
flames about me,
My embeddedness
in spirit
intertwine and interpenetrate
and merge and burst.

And this joy
is not of me,
and it is mine.

And this joy
is not of me
and it is mine.
